WOW. I haven’t seen THIS in a while.
159.6. 🙂
Food!
“Breakfast” (12:30-ish PM): Okay, hadn’t eaten since ’round 7PM the prior night. That’s roughly a 16-17 hour fast, feeling pretty good. 🙂 Had nearly a handful of cashews, one portion of sausage, and one ‘breakfast square’ (the last one left, actually).
“Lunch” (3:30?): A few bits of cashew and two slices of turkey.
“Snack”: More substantial than ‘Lunch’, hence further quotation marks. 🙂 1/4 apple, one tsp almond butter, 1/2 chicken breast.
Post-WOD: 1/4 of an apple and a few cashews.
Dinner (8ish): 2 large slices of roast, with a small pile of baby carrots, peas and butter. Followed up with another half-handful of cashews, nibbled after fish oil was taken. 😛
Workout!
Warmup: Double under practice. I need to stick with the shorter rope. Trying the longer one was disastrous. 😀
Strength work: DEADLIFTS!! (Can you tell I ❤ deadlifts?) 3 – 3 – 3 – 3 *straight sets, at a weight of 75% of a 1 rep maximum
Warmed up with 35k (5), 55 (5) and went on to 71.5kg for the sets. ^_^
WOD: “Helen”
- 400m run
- 21 KB swings (16k Rx’d women’s weight)
- 12 Pullups
3 Rounds for time
Well, Rx’d the kb again, and went back to the green band for pullups. Same as last time.
The kettlebell swings got to me again, my legs would start burning and I couldn’t keep them moving through a set of 21. Had to take a couple of short rests to get them working again. 😦 Still, a new PR at 15:14! Much better than the prior 18minutes-and-something. (Although I seem to recall an issue the last time around, with people backing up at pullups. It might have been it, I don’t know. *shrug*)
Post-WOD: I was thinking of working on pullups, but with the 36 pullups in the WOD I opted against. I *did* do 3 handstands against the wall, holding as long as I could manage, trying to pull my feet off the wall itself. It was.. okay. Not great, but not too shabby. 🙂
Stuff:
Yeah, I know a weight shift goes slowly… and I know (now) how my own weight tends to shift, but still – those several days of 160.6 (and one day of 161) were kind of getting to me. I was getting really impatient for a 15-something number! And I’ve been seeming to drop a bit more after a short plateau, so I knew it was probably coming along. I’m glad I hit it today; even if it’s only today, it’s a bit of a milestone.
The last time I was One Fifty-something was a little while after we had Chayla. (The lowest during this period, I think, was around 154 or so.) I’d been on and off other meds for a while, and one of them screwed me over pretty badly. I couldn’t eat, had absolutely no appetite whatsoever, and couldn’t sleep on top of that. Hours spent pacing around or staring at a computer screen at 3AM weren’t good for me, but the food issue was just as crazy!
I’d dropped 20 pounds in just under a month. I’d get compliments on how I looked, which was really depressing, because I knew WHY I’d lost it. I hadn’t eaten more than 2-3 full meals over the course of TWO WEEKS. I felt horrid and inhuman and started getting twitchy from the lack of sleep. Not Healthy.
This time? Much better! I’m sleeping through the night (usually), sleeping a decent amount of hours per night. I’m eating well! I can go and take a walk if I want, when I want, without feeling like collapsing on the side of the road after a block.
This is a huge deal. 🙂
awesome! way to go!
You rock! Great job!!
Thanks!! 🙂 It was a good day, but it’s been rough on me today! My arms hurt SOOO much today. ^_^
Well, no pain, no gain – right? Right? *grumble* 😉
Great job. And yes this time around much healthier weight lose.
I can understand the whole unhealthy weight lose from not eating and the feelings that go with it. Been sick a few times where food just was not fun.
Thanks. ^_^
Yeah… it’s awkward, and then when you’re already feeling miserable and depressed about the situation – it’s easy enough for a compliment to stick in your head and turn sour. *sigh*
Being sick is the same way… not wanting a reminder of the misery involved. 🙂
I’m SO glad I’m done with that. 😀
